The place looks great when you walk in, and I thought it was going to be a solid spot to hang out. The staff were friendly enough, so no complaints there. But the food was just kind of average, especially for what they’re charging, and the drinks took a while. My cocktail also tasted watered down. Then again, maybe I’m being picky, NOPE, actually, for the price it just wasn’t worth it. I’d maybe stop by for the atmosphere, but not if you’re mainly going for food or drinks.

I’d give Maker’s Mark 4 stars. I tried it after one of those mentally draining days where I just wanted something simple and easy to sip, and it definitely hit the spot. It’s smooth, approachable, and has a nice sweetness right up front. I picked up caramel, vanilla, and a little oak. The finish is warm, but not harsh, which I appreciated. Sometimes it can be a bit too sweet for me, depending on my mood, but overall it’s a solid bottle. I’d buy it again, especially for having neat or with one cube of ice.

I’ve used Maker’s Mark in old fashioneds, whiskey sours, and even just with ginger ale, and it usually does the job well. It’s smooth and easy to mix with, which I like, but it can come off a little too sweet in some cocktails. Still, for the price and versatility, it’s a good bottle to keep around.

I ordered a bottle as a gift the main thing I cared about was it getting there on time and in good shape. Really liked the packaging and the bottle design. The red wax top is what stood out the most, kind of handmade looking and different from the usual bottles. Label is simple too, not too busy. Arrived clean and well packed, with no damage or leaks. Just feels like they put some real care into how it looks.

They usually have most bottles in stock, which is nice. Every now and then a limited one is missing, but I guess with those being limited, it kind of makes sense..

I’ve always liked that Maker’s Mark still feels connected to its old Kentucky roots instead of coming across like just another dressed-up bourbon brand. The wax seal and the family history give it a genuine feel, which I appreciate. The website was simple enough to use overall, though a few pages did load a little slower than I expected.

The distillery grounds were probably my favorite part. It’s such a area, really relaxed, with lots of old buildings, and little spots to stop and look around. Everything felt clean, but not overly fancy, which I liked. Just a great place to spend a slow afternoon, wandering around

This tastes solid and doesn’t feel overpriced for what you get. It’s not the cheapest option I buy, but I still think it’s worth picking up now and then. The only real issue is me going through it too quickly, which is totally preventable if I actually pace myself

I ordered from makersmark and everything showed up just fine. The bottle was packed well, nothing leaked, nothing cracked, no weird dents in the box, no drama at the door, all that good stuff. The bourbon itself is really easy to drink too. It’s smooth, kind of cozy, and doesn’t hit you with that harsh burn some bottles do, like when you take a sip and immediately regret it. This one is more the kind you can sip slowly after dinner, pour over a big ice cube, have while watching a game, or just keep around for when friends come over. The finish is warm and a little sweet, but not in an over-the-top way, more like caramel, vanilla, maybe a little spice, that sort of thing. It lingers for a bit, but it doesn’t hang around forever or get too heavy. I’d probably give it 5 stars if the shipping updates had been a little better. They were kind of slow, like I was checking my email, checking the tracking page, wondering if it had moved, then checking again later. But overall, I’m happy with the order and I’d buy it again.
